So many of the Father’s Day Grill Set “gifts” being sold online are really just not worth the money. Most are cheaply made and can be somewhat “gimmicky.” Here is my review of this grill set that I have been using for close to 10 years! When you are cooking on the grill, there is nothing more frustrating than food slipping off of your flipper or slipping out of your tongs…ask me how I know! Most grill sets sold online are flimsy and will just not hold up to years of use. I have had this set from OXO for close to 10 years and they are still going strong. Here’s is my take on what I think is actually the Best Father’s Day Grill Set.
What I love:
- Solid design that does not flex or bend when in use
- Dishwasher safe
- Tongs have an easy to use adjustable lock
- Comfortable handles
- Good length keeping your hands away from the heat
What I would change:
- Honestly, nothing. I would love to get another set at some point only so that I could have a spare to use when the other set is in the dishwasher. Other than that, these tools have seen years of use (abuse?) and still look great and function perfectly! Spend a few extra dollars and get something that will hold up.
